Dom Scott, Department Head
Before joining Foxtons, I studied Psychology at Brunel University. Eager to utilise the skills I had learnt on my course and clear my student loans, I decided to look for the kind of companies which could provide me with that opportunity.
A friend of mine, who happened to be working for Foxtons at the time, continually mentioned to me what a driven and successful company Foxtons was to work for. Further investigation also showed me that Foxtons provided the type of environment where hard work is rewarded generously but not at the expense of having fun! I was very keen to learn more and since joining the rapidly expanding Move Consultants department in 2004, I have not been disappointed.
My first year at Foxtons was a successful one, as I worked closely with the Islington and Ealing offices, helping to build up their property and applicant portfolios. This success was largely due to the 'on the job' training provided by the Training Department and my Team Leader at the time. After a year and a half I was promoted into the role of Team Leader looking after Move Consultants for the Ealing office.
Following a successful time with Ealing, I moved on to become the Team Leader of the South Kensington Office. Having recognised my ability to produce good figures and train successful teams of Move Consultants I was incredibly fortunate and proud to be promoted to Department Head of the central London division.
Foxtons has provided me with an opportunity not only to enhance and develop my sales and people management skills, but to develop my personal strengths and ambitions within this dynamic sales orientated company. I have found my experience extremely rewarding and as a result of my hard work have been invited on a number of trips to destinations such as Morocco, Portugal and Croatia. There really are no boundaries on how successful you can be at Foxtons.
