Kate O'Neill, Senior Property Manager
I graduated with a Law degree in 2004 and had spent 18 months working for the police when I saw the Foxtons recruitment advert online. The career-driven and vibrant atmosphere was just the change I was looking for and so I applied. Although I had not worked in property before, the training I received enabled me to build on existing skills whilst learning all about the London and Surrey lettings market.
I started in the Tenancy Team where we assist landlords and tenants with many different aspects of their tenancy. Within this role you gain invaluable experience, quickly learning to deal with a range of enquiries.
As a result of my hard work, I was then delighted to be promoted to the Managed Team, where I look after the maintenance and running of over 140 properties based in south west London. I enjoy being in control of my own workload which enables me to manage all the different aspects of my portfolio, whilst building relationships with landlords and tenants. I have recently been promoted again to Senior Property Manager, allowing me to assist with the running of the team as well as liaising with our front offices so that the whole process runs as smoothly as possible.
Every day is different at Foxtons. The working environment is fast-paced and the weeks seem to fly by. Before you know it, it's Friday again and it's time to prepare for tenancies due to start during the following week. It's great to be part of a team of like-minded enthusiastic people. It has now been almost three years and I have never looked back.
