Thomas Hill, Key Account Manager
I graduated from university in 2006 with a degree in History and Politics and despite gaining some experience in the health service and being part of an internship programme for a major corporate bank, I was still looking for a new challenge!
When I came for my interview in July 2006, I immediately realised that Foxtons was the right company for me – the atmosphere and environment was completely different to any of my previous jobs! From the second I stepped foot on the sales floor at Chiswick Park I knew I was joining a company that would provide me with a competitive and challenging atmosphere within which to grow.
I was offered the position of a New Business Developer within the Corporate Services department which I applied for because of the opportunity of working and building ongoing business relationships with some of the world’s largest, reputable companies.
Six months after I started I was promoted to Account Manager which I was thrilled with as this meant that I could hold my own business meetings and work with a larger portfolio of companies. I was also given larger targets to hit and a greater opportunity to develop my own business instead of developing it for others.
In 2008 I was then promoted to Key Account Manager which enabled me to take on even more responsibility, looking after high priority company accounts as well as working on old and new accounts. In this role I also work closer with other departments at Foxtons, making sure that every client receives the highest standard of customer service at all times.
Working at Foxtons is great and I would recommend it to anyone! The training is excellent and derived from years of experience in the highly competitive property industry. There is a strong emphasis on success and personal development and you will definitely get out what you put in. The whole experience is not only gratifying, but it's exciting to come in to work every day and the people I work with make it even more enjoyable!
