About Romford

A large East London town, Romford has the feel of a bustling market town during the day, but there’s much more to it. Romford is 14.1 miles (22.7 km) northeast of Charing Cross and was identified as one of the major metropolitan centres in the London Plan. The transport links are superb. As a major metropolitan centre there are plenty shops, supermarkets, and shopping centres, restaurants, cafes, pubs, and bars. You’ll also find gyms, leisure centres, sports clubs and other recreational facilities, theatres, art galleries, and museums. There are 39 schools and the town’s close to several beautiful country parks.
