New Website Features New website features save you time and effort
2nd May 2006
Foxtons always strive to ensure that our customers benefit from developments in technology and we're pleased to announce the latest updates to the website. You can now add your personal 'star rating' to favourite properties, and also make notes about them.
Rate your properties
The section of the website previously known as Notebook has been renamed "My Foxtons", which we believe makes its purpose that bit clearer to users. This facility enables you to save the properties that have particularly caught your eye, but now, thanks to the latest technology, you can personally rate those properties using a star system - from one star for those that you like but aren't 100% sure about, to five stars for those that really impress you!
To give a property a star rating all you have to do is click on Save property (if you've registered your details this will automatically save the property in My Foxtons), My rating will appear, and you simply click on your choice of star. You can, of course, amend the star rating of the properties to reflect a change of heart. My Foxtons will then automatically arrange those saved properties in your order of preference based on your personal rating.
Once you've rated a property you'll be able to see it and alter the rating not only in My Foxtons but also within the results of any search you carry out for properties in that area, enabling you to see exactly which properties you've already rated and saved.
Take note
There is now also available the option of being able to add your own notes to your saved properties. People already have enough on their plates when they're looking for a new home without having to remember the exact reasons why a particular property appealed to them at the time - especially if they've got several on their list. Now, when you save a property on Foxtons.co.uk, you can add a few simple notes to it so that when you're going back through your list there is something to remind you why you decided to save it in the first place! We're certain this will save you quite a bit of time when it comes to prioritising your shortlist of properties.
