Move closer to your ideal school or tube station
Foxtons.co.uk makes it easier to find a home near the school or tube station of your choice.
If you have children it's only natural to want to live close to a good school; and if you use public transport a nearby tube station will ease the stress of the rush hour commute. Refinements to the search facilities on Foxtons.co.uk now make it easier to find a new home within easy reach of these must-haves.
When using schools as a search facility, you can now hone your search to show properties within a radius of between 0.25 to 5 miles from the school you select. The results are returned in order of distance from your chosen school, nearest first. You can alter how the results are displayed so that they can be shown in ascending or descending price order, area, or number of bedrooms. The results page will also let you alter the radius of your search.
When the results appear, the distance from your chosen school is displayed with each property in the form of a link. Click on the link and all the properties returned as a result of your search will be displayed as icons on a street map of the area. Click on any of these icons and you will see the price, number of bedrooms, address, a picture of the property and the option to either save it or see the full details.
For those of you who don't rank schools top of your list of priorities but who do want to be near an underground station, the same refinements have also been made to the search by tube facility.
These modifications mark an improvement to these very useful features and should make the search for your new home easier and more enjoyable.
