Robert Swann and Alexis Zaranis, Sales and Lettings Managers at Foxtons Earls Court, let us in on some insider tips on their area:

TELL US ABOUT THE NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN THE AREA...

Robert: The huge regeneration of the area surrounding West Brompton and Earls Court heralds a new era for West London, bringing with it four new urban villages, offices, hotels, community facilities and a high street. Of course, the prospect of a new neighbourhood with over 7,500 new homes is extremely exciting for everyone!

Alexis: A part of this development is Lillie Square which is replacing the old car park for the Exhibition Centre. The construction has already begun just off Seagrave Road in West Brompton and there is clearly considerable interest as most of the units have already sold off plan. This development is set to be completed in 2016, bringing with it much needed regeneration for the area.

WHAT'S OPENING IN THE AREA?

Robert: There are constantly new shops and restaurants coming to the area and bringing with them a new energy, however I'm particularly looking forward to the new tapas restaurant opening on Old Brompton Road.

Alexis: There's also a new Sainsbury's opening up on the corner of Old Brompton Road and Warwick Road.

WHERE DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR EATING OUT?

Robert: For traditional Italian dishes La Pappardella on Old Brompton Road is the place to go. It has a cool atmosphere and serves huge portions, so make sure you bring your appetite! I also enjoy heading to Ping on Earls Court Road for the good food, cocktails and a cheeky game of table tennis!

Alexis: For lunch on the go, Earls Court Road is packed with delicious and affordable options. At the weekends, when I've got a bit more time to spare, I like to head to The Pembroke to enjoy a few beers in front of the rugby.

WHERE ARE THE BEST PLACES TO ENJOY SOME DOWN TIME

Robert: The Troubador is a fantastic venue for brunch as well as for live music in the evening. Bob Dylan, Jimmy Hendrix, Sammy Davis Jnr and Led Zeppelin have all played here and more recently, so have Adele and Ed Sheeran.

Alexis: You can always rely on The Hollywood Arms and Brinkley's for a good crowd, good food and a rewarding after work drink!

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS FOR FAMILES?

Robert: Earls Court is a fantastic base for families. We're in the catchment area for the Lyćee Français, Bousfield Primary School, Redcliffe School and plenty of nurseries in between.

Alexis: Not to mention Bramham Gardens, Courtfield Gardens and Redcliffe Square Gardens which are only a few examples of the pretty, green squares where children can play.

FINALLY, HAVE YOU GOT ANY FUN FACTS ABOUT THE AREA?

Robert: Evan Davis, host of Newsnight and Dragons' Den, can often be seen walking his dog opposite the office. Hugh Grant and Frank Lampard also live in the area, close to Hollywood Road.
