Imperial Court is arguably one of south London's most prominent buildings. Originally built in 1836 to house the Licensed Victuallers' School, in 1921 it became the headquarters of NAAFI the Navy, Army and Air Forces Institute.
But since its conversion into flats in 1992 it has offered residents a distinctly unmilitary lifestyle contemporary comfort within a magnificent local landmark. The building is conveniently located between Kennington Park's greenery and the excellent transport links at Vauxhall Cross while Westminster is just over the river.
But there is more to this part of south London than meets the eye; almost all corners of the world are represented in the local cuisine, a glut of local gastropubs serve up traditional flavoursome fare and visitors are drawn from far and wide to the Imperial War Museum and Oval cricket ground. I am pleased to be marketing a three bedroomed flat on the ground floor of Imperial Court, which would appeal to families and professionals alike, with two en suite bathrooms and a sociably sized reception room.
The property also has a substantial garden where children are free to frolic and grown-ups can indulge in some green-fingered relaxation a mere stone's throw from central London.
But perhaps the most luxurious aspects of living in this prestigious development are the underground parking and communal gym and spa, which combine to create a truly imperial environment. Foxtons.co.uk/1190842 We recently let this four bedroomed house close to Clapham North to the first prospective tenants that viewed it.
They rented the property for 12 months at 700 per week just 24 hours after seeing the property. This charming first floor flat was let for 300 per week after a single viewing.
The one bedroomed property on a quiet tree-lined street close to Clapham Junction has wood floors, an enticing bathroom and a built-in wardrobe.
