Chiswick's charm is irretrievably entwined with its village feel, that sense of being a close knit community with small, independent shops, plentiful green space and pretty, character-filled properties.
This chocolate-box picture intensifies in the warmer months as the trees become bright with blossom and the parks fill with flowers and picnickers, so it is no surprise that the local property market traditionally receives a boost at this time of year.
Although most residents have easy access to shared parkland, gardens are in high demand, with buyers prepared to pay a premium for the sort of sizeable patch usually associated with the airy period properties so often found in Chiswick. In keeping with this theme I'd like to introduce a property with an outstanding garden: a five bedroomed semi-detached house on Duke's Avenue in the heart of Chiswick.
