As June gets underway the corporate lettings market becomes increasingly busy.

This is due to two main factors: the financial year is now in full swing so relocation budgets have been allocated, while the academic calendar means families are seeking to settle into their new homes by September.

This is an excellent time for landlords to realise the potential of their rental investments but, similarly, tenants have also come to expect more from their homes.

As a result we have seen demand for high-specification properties rocket and Notting Hill, with its fashionable reputation and array of quirky yet quality boutiques, attracts much of this activity. To celebrate this trend I`d like to highlight a remarkable property that is currently on our books, a four bedroomed duplex apartment set in salubrious Lancaster Gate. The period exterior of this outstanding home is everything you'd expect from such a prime address: magnificent and imposing, it is white stucco fronted with original columns and wrought iron railings serving to separate the building from the street.

Inside, this classic elegance has been given an exciting new twist; opulent fireplaces, tall windows and decadent chandeliers are artfully juxtaposed with a unique 20' glass water feature with changing mood lighting and a stunning staircase recessed with striking blue lights.

Lovingly designed and installed by the property's owner, these artistic and modern elements give this already beautiful home an added touch of glamour, leaving me in little doubt that it will be taken by a discerning tenant very soon. Foxtons.co.uk/2266638 We let this four bedroomed Victorian house on St Luke's Road in the heart of Notting Hill for 12 months at 1,700 per week after the prospective tenants were delighted by its fantastic roof terrace. We let this one bedroomed flat on Talbot Road, just off Chepstow Road in Notting Hill Gate, within 24 hours of bringing it onto the market.

It let for 36 months at 650 per week.
