The prestigious streets in and around Putney host not only many beautiful homes but also a strong sense of the area's history.
Imposing period properties conjure up images of a bygone era when horse-drawn carriages lined the streets instead of BMWs and the women wore bustles, while the locale's green spaces with their grassy expanses and mature trees exude an air of timeless calm.
This month I'd like to highlight a property that exemplifies a very specific part of the area's past life.
Set within the grand confines of what was once an esteemed girls' school, this beautiful two bedroomed flat is imbued with the character created by such an impressive pedigree, while the school building itself is nothing short of magnificent. The developers wisely decided to retain the original feel of the place; photographs of past pupils grace the walls and rowing team awards proudly recall past glories.

The lovely Victorian conversion property was on the market at 315,000. We recently agreed an offer on this detached three bedroomed house on Buckhold Road in Wandsworth.
The house, which is in need of complete modernisation, received multiple offers and was on the market at 375,000.
