Richmond and the surrounding areas are renowned for their almost bucolic charm; Richmond Park itself is vast and stretches from Ham to Mortlake to Wimbledon, while the wide, leafy streets here and the sparkling and peaceful presence of the River Thames do little to dispel this rural image. Kew Gardens are another draw in keeping with this picture, while nearby Kew Green offers local residents the chance to enjoy a serene and untouched beauty spot alongside the banks of the river.
Deliciously English, the green often plays host to picnickers and is frequently used for cricket matches at weekends, creating an idyllic view for those locals lucky enough to overlook it. This month I'd like to celebrate a property that does just that.
