St John's Wood hosts a wealth of beautiful properties, all of which are popular for different reasons.
Pretty mews houses rub shoulders with imposing mansion blocks, while those very close to Underground stations are obviously ideal for commuters. Perhaps the pinnacle of this affluent area's charm, however, is its idyllic situation by Regent's Park.
Properties set close to this bountiful expanse of green unsurprisingly command a premium, while those fortunate enough to overlook it are both hard to come by and in extremely high demand.
You can imagine our excitement, then, when we took on a beautiful penthouse in Elizabeth Court, Palgrave Gardens, which comes complete with vast wraparound roof terrace offering an unrivalled prospect across the park. As if the view was not enough, the apartment itself is walled with glass, leaving the owner in little doubt as to its exclusive location.
Impeccably designed and furnished with the very best of everything, it represents the ultimate in stylish city living; a sizeable separate roof terrace adjoins the master bedroom while three of the four walls in both the kitchen and reception room have doors leading out onto the main terrace. Inside one can luxuriate in the sheer sense of space, a rarity indeed in such a central and sought-after spot, while the development's in-house gymnasium, 24-hour concierge service and underground parking means residents want for nothing. A strong contender for the ultimate bachelor pad, the apartment would also be ideal for a high-flying couple who appreciate life's finer aspects.
Either way, this outstanding property will doubtless make its new owners very happy whoever they may be. Foxtons.co.uk/1370782 This two bedroomed duplex on Errington Road in Maida Vale caught our buyers' eye with its funky décor and charming garden. We sold it for 562,000. This two bedroomed flat on Castellain Road went under offer with us just a week after we brought it onto the market.
The sale of the property, which is set in the heart of Little Venice, was agreed at 800,000.
