Visualize commuting times from your new home

Commuting times by public transport are now displayed as heat-maps on Foxtons.co.uk to help buyers and tenants visualize their journey time to work from potential properties.

For many, buying or renting a property conveniently located within easy reach of work, schools or university is a major consideration. Foxtons already offer custom journey planners for public transport, walking, cycling and driving. Now, at a glance, property hunters can get an indication of commuting times from each property on Foxtons.co.uk, saving even more time during their property search.

The heat map works by displaying bands of colour on a map. These colour bands represent how far you can travel within 10 minute intervals from the property leaving at 8am.

So for example, leaving Notting Hill at 8am we can see it is possible to get to anywhere in Central London in under 30 minutes or even as far as Docklands, Wimbledon or Croydon within 40 minutes.

To view the transport time heat maps for yourself, click on the transport section for any property on Foxtons.co.uk
