Gives her personal account of working at Foxtons.
I graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in printed textiles. That summer, I applied for a role as a Tenancy Manager with Foxtons. My only previous office experience was a two month summer placement working in Marketing for a wholesale company. From the moment I stepped into Foxtons Head Office I was amazed by the lively atmosphere, energy, and buzz - it seemed like a great environment to work in.
Within four weeks of my interview, I had packed up my life in Loughborough and moved to London to embark on a whole new chapter. The weeks of training that followed were a whirlwind of knowledge and information, quite intense but very thorough and comprehensive, and necessary to help with the task ahead. It didn't take long before I had settled in; the social aspect of the team and Foxtons as a whole means it is a great company to meet new people and make friends.
In the summer of 2013 I was promoted to a Senior Tenancy manager in our Central division, gaining greater responsibility and understanding of the role and company as a whole. I was excited to have this opportunity and to help to train the new starters and settle them into the company.
My progression and development through our Tenancy department continued as I was promoted to the Lettings Support Leader position of our North Division, and then later to Team leader of both the North and East Divisions. It is a very challenging role, every day is different but there are unlimited opportunities to gain more knowledge and understanding through the ongoing training and development programmes here.
I am thoroughly enjoying my time at Foxtons. The fast-paced, vibrant atmosphere and energy of the department makes it a great place to work and I have thrived as a result. The ongoing training and development and the experiences afforded by my continual progression and internal promotions have helped widen my knowledge and understanding and I am excited to continue building my career at Foxtons.
