Gives her personal account of working at Foxtons.
Whilst studying Geography at Bristol University I became very interested in the different aspects of the UK property market. Family and friends recommended I try an internship with Foxtons so that I could explore both the property and sales industries. I honestly never imagined an internship could be so rewarding! Consequently when I received an offer to join as a negotiator I was truly delighted and I joined Foxtons on a permanent basis in 2012, after my graduation.
Once my initial training was complete I was placed within the Sloane Square office. Other than my six-week internship I had no previous experience in either property or sales; everything I have learned I owe to the rigorous ongoing training that I have received through Foxtons training department, my team within the office and continuous mentorship from my manager.
The role of negotiator was extremely varied and satisfying. I dealt with a wide range of people from across the world, no day ever being the same. After just a year of this role I was delighted to be promoted to the level of Rare Negotiator enabling me to deal with experienced buyers and handle some of the most spectacular and niche properties London has to offer.
Foxtons is a true meritocracy where hard work and enthusiasm are always recognised and well rewarded. In 2014 I took the next step in my career and became the Sales Valuer of the Sloane Square office. In 2016 Foxtons opened a brand new office in Vauxhall, and I was chosen to become the Sales Manager in the office. I love the challenge of my new role and I am really looking forward to my future here and all the excitement yet to come!
