London's Air Ambulance serves the 10 million people living and working within London and the M25 by providing an advanced trauma team to critically injured patients using a helicopter during daylight hours and rapid response cars at night.
The charity is the only one of its kind in London to perform immediate life-saving medical procedures at the scene of an accident, normally only carried out in a hospital emergency department.
The acquisition of the second helicopter marked a significant milestone for the charity, helping to extend its daylight flying hours and increasing operational availability of aircraft from 83% to 98%. The charity continues to rely heavily on charitable donations to maintain its life-saving service for London with running costs of over £8.7 million, which Foxtons sponsorship contributes towards.
In addition to sponsorship commitments, the partnership is supported by numerous company-wide employee fundraising activities, as well as extensive marketing campaigns that are aimed at increasing public awareness of the charity.
