“I love Acton because it has a very friendly mixed community. The new leisure centre and swimming pool is great. A New John Lloyd gym and tennis club has just opened. There are great parks - Gunnesbury park is fabulous and Acton Park has tennis courts and a great children's play area. Transport links are excellent. The overground from Acton Central links up with the District, Jubilee and Bakerloo underground stations. Trains from Acton Central go from Richmond to Stratford through North London. Acton Main line station trains go from Heathrow to Paddington and will soon have the addition of the new Elizabeth line. Also there are 3 central line stations (East, West and North Acton), and Acton Town has the Piccadilly line station for direct trains to Heathrow airport. Churchfield Road has many cafes and restaurants. Indian, Greek, Japanese etc. There is a new Italian cafe and deli. There is also a new Italian restaurant on Acton high street which is good. The George and Dragon Pub is a bit of a hipster pub which brews its own beer and has live music. Acton is a stones throw again from Chiswick where there are many excellent restaurants. It is also 6 minutes by car to White City Westfield Shopping centre, with a newly opened John Lewis Department Store.”

Acton Skate Club - Term 1
RollaDome’s Acton Skate Club offers a structured 12-week roller skating programme where young people can learn to skate, build confidence and develop new skills in a fun and supportive environment. The club is suitable for children and young people aged 4–16, including complete beginners as well as more confident skaters. Each session is led by experienced RollaDome coaches and designed to help participants progress through skating levels while enjoying music, movement and teamwork. Participants will learn: - skating skills and balance - stopping and turning techniques - roller dance and rhythm skating - skating games and teamwork - progression through skating levels The programme helps children develop balance, coordination and confidence while enjoying active play with friends. Sessions take place once per week and each session lasts 1 hour. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. Jog bottoms, leggings, or shorts Socks are required No jeans, skirts, dresses, ties, or school uniforms. Please also bring a drink to stay hydrated. Roller skates and safety equipment can be provided if required, so children can take part even if they have never skated before. Please arrive 15 minutes early for registration. Important Notice SEND & Additional Needs If your child has SEND, is autistic, or has learning difficulties, please complete our additional form so we can arrange appropriate 1-to-1 support. Important Booking Information Our clubs operate as structured 12-week programmes, meaning sessions are booked as a full term rather than weekly drop-ins. This allows participants to build confidence, develop skills and progress through the programme safely. Places are limited to 12 participants per session and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Sessions often fill quickly, so early booking is recommended. After booking, you will receive an invitation to join TeamApp, our main communication platform. All updates, session information, and important documents will be shared there. Membership and Pricing The true cost of delivering a RollaDome skating session is £17 per participant per hour. Thanks to funding support from partners such as Sport England and the Young Ealing Foundation, we are able to reduce the cost for members and offer subsidised places for families who need support. Some free or subsidised places may also be available each term, depending on available funding.Read more
