Dynamix Health Club

The perfect place to go to relieve stress after work. It has an amazing free weights room and a cafe serving healthy juices and shakes made from a choice of protein brands.

Panda's Kitchen

Chinese takeaway if you're in between the Forest Gate and Upton Park Area. All fresh ingredients, amazing portions and cooked with loads of colour and flavour!

Golden Fleece

A hidden gem in Forest Gate Village overlooking Wanstead Flats, this pub has recently undergone a full refurbishment and has a huge beer garden at the rear.

Vijay's Chawalla

A down to earth vegetarian Indian restaurant, with tasty, inexpensive, healthy and authentic food.


A fantastic Asian confectionary shop selling both sweet and savoury treats on Green Street, close to Upton Park Underground Station.

London Fish Bazaar

This excellent fish shop buys in their fish from Billingsgate Market. They cater for a variety of cultures, with a range of exotic fish.

Pie Republic

Great traditional pie and mash.

Corner Kitchen

Fantastic family orientated cafe serving unique stone baked pizzas, homemade cakes and featuring a basement playground with dedicated activities throughout the week for under 5's. Great place to take babies and toddlers.

Wanstead Park

Home to a variety of wildlife, Wanstead Park and its pond are fantastic on a lazy Sunday; take a stroll and feed the ducks and geese.


This cafe next to Wanstead Park Station makes a great cappuccino!

Wanstead Flats

A fantastic green open space situated between Forest Gate, Manor Park and Aldersbrook.

Run or Dye

The most fun you can have with a pair of trainers, never mind the mad dashing through colour stations where you're attacked with sachets of dye. There's also a music festival of colour! Run or Dye takes place not only in London, but all around the country and world.

ExCel Centre

There are exhibitions held here all the time - most recently ComicCon. It was also the venue for many of the events during the 2012 Olympics.

Sunborn Yacht Hotel

A little known gem, the Sunborn is a fully functioning hotel held on a yacht next to the ExCel centre. You can go here just for the bar, as well as the half price buffet breakfast at the weekend too!

Your children will keep busy and active with a huge variety of activities and sports for them to enjoy during the school holiday. The fun environment on our holiday courses means they mix with loads of children of their own age, get active and most importantly have fun. The scheme is not avaliable on Good Friday and the Easter Bank Holiday on Monday 6th April. Website

Glyndon Under-5s Play Centre
The centre has an outside grassy area with climbing frame/slide and a large selection of sit and ride toys, and sand and water tables. There is a large indoor play room complete with ball pool, slide and play house area.
