The most sophistication you can find between two kebab shops on a roundabout. A speakeasy-style cocktail bar underneath the adjacent shops, serving the best cocktail creations in town.

Why not explore the nearby areas of Barbican, Clerkenwell, Shoreditch, Hoxton, City, Islington, Spitalfields, Aldgate, De Beauvoir Town and King's Cross

"The name Clerkenwell is taken from Clerks' Well which was a spring where students gathered. Part of the well is still visible and it has been incorporated into a building called Wells Court in Farringdon Lane."

I love the buzzy urban feel of EC1 and knowing that I am within touching distance of all that is happening...

EC1 quote

Tim Standing

Clerkenwell offers residents outstanding choice when it comes to the bars and restaurants and all so close to London's financial centre, too!

Josh Walsh

Shoreditch is to London now, what King's Road was in the '60s.

What locals say about EC1

  1. A very central location without the overwhelming buzz of London's tourist hotspots.

  2. From the old buildings, the occasional cobbled street to the many great places to eat and drink, Clerkenwell has the sort of character you can't build. You have to wait for it! There is the hustle and bustle around Farringdon station in the mornings, and the buzz outside the pubs at the end of the week. Nowhere quite like it in London.

  3. Stunning views, an oasis of calm and culture within walking distance to most of the City.
