Where do SE16 locals go?

Southwark Park

Between Canada Water and Old Kent Road, Southwark Park is a peaceful spot with a café and an art gallery.

Shades of Green

In The Quarterdeck, just along Westferry Road, Shades of Green is owned by Bob who is a great bloke. He loves a chat about football and in fact, if you look closely through the right hand window, you can see him in action snipping away!


The best steak house and part of an upmarket chain. Sumptuous décor, delicious cocktails and perfectly cooked steak that you can choose from a board carried by the waiter.

One Canada Square

A lovely place for elegant drinks and dinner or after-work drinks. Food served throughout the day and with a range of deals too.

The Narrow

A great gastropub on Narrow Street in Limehouse with fabulous food and a lovely atmosphere. The terrace has superb views of the Thames and you can go for a stroll around picturesque Limehouse Basin afterwards to walk off all the calories consumed!

The Captain Kidd

Serving organic beer to sip on a sunny London day and affording a garden directly overlooking the Thames. Many a pirate fantasy has been regaled in this public house.


Amazing coffee house with such good coffee and lunchtime food. Great smoothies too!

Il Bordello

A family-run Italian with turbot bigger than my face! Their service is outstanding and one that we can all learn from and appreciate the lack of nowadays.


This is a first class restaurant and bar. Where else can you hear jazz, blues and amazing tribute acts every night of the week without travelling to the West End?!

Pollyanna Training Theatre

Wonderful performance and arts activities for children.


Amazing Turkish pastries and much more! It's the perfect spot for breakfast or lunch, with lovely views as well.

Museum of London Docklands

The Museum of London Docklands is set within a nineteenth century sugar, rum and coffee warehouse! It tells visitors all about the history of London Docklands and trade with the rest of the world.


A great place to go if you are a fan of contemporary Japanese cuisine. Try the "Beef tataki" with smoked cheese, chives and soy roasted almonds - it's amazing and they also offer a very wide selection of premium sake.


The Cineworld at West India Quay is moments from bars and restaurants, so grab a drink and food before and after the showings.

The Attic

Amazing views of Canary Wharf and great for evening cocktails on the 48th floor of Pan Peninsula - a stunning place that will impress someone on a first date! The Pornstar Martinis are amazing too!
