"In 1741 Sir Jeremy Sambrook erected an obelisk to the north of Hadley Green at the site where the Earl of Warwick fell in the Battle of Barnet. Cottages and inns formed in a group here and became known as Hadley Highstone."

I really enjoy escaping the hustle and bustle of the capital in Barnet Gate Woods.
