What locals say about W1

  1. You can choose to eat pretty much any cuisine imaginable late into the night!

  2. Soho is the beating heart of central London and one of the most vibrant and exciting parts of the capital, where there's always something interesting to see and do. It never sleeps!

  3. There's such a buzzy atmosphere in Fitzrovia, while still being a bit more laid back than Soho!

  4. Marylebone has developed into a very cosmopolitan central London area, which has a lovely village feel to it, despite being a stone's throw from Oxford Street. The high street is now populated with an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants, which are not the usual run of the mill high street names. On Sunday there even is a farmers market with local produce from just outside London. Despite being in the heart of London, there is a great community spirit and people actually know their neighbours! It is close to the delightful rose gardens of Regents Park and Hyde Park and there are very good public transport facilities all within walking distance.

  5. Great atmosphere, central. One of the best locations in London. Near everywhere

  6. Quiet with easy access to Oxford Street, Regent's Park and Marylebone High Street

  7. For me, Marylebone makes the heart of London feel like a countryside community. Having grown up in a rural part of the UK i thoroughly enjoy the bustling farmers market, extensive variety of shopping and delicious eateries. A classy area for all to enjoy!

  8. The busy hustle and bustle is what makes living just off Oxford Street so exciting. Within minutes of leaving my flat I'm able to pop to the shops to buy myself some new gear, I can go and see one of the stunning musicals of the West End, or I could enjoy one of the many sophisticated cocktail bars in Soho. It's not always so busy - on a Sunday morning before the shops open I love nothing more than to jog along Oxford Street to Hyde Park and then around St James's Park past Buckingham Palace. This place really does offer it all!

  9. I'm a keen runner and so it's great to be close to the parks. There's a beautiful high street and great transport links to get around.

  10. You do not need to use public transport as everything you need is in walking distance. The best place to live in the world.

  11. Mayfair is a safe desirable area to live with many great restaurants to enjoy a wide selection of cuisine . It has many great squares and parks only a few minutes walk away. The theatres are all on your doorstep . There is no need to use public transport. Fantastic shopping experience.

  12. It's lively all the time, there are a lot of things going on but not particularly the best area if you have kids!
