I have owned this flat since 2007 and lived in it myself until about 18 months ago. It is on the second floor of a low-rise red brick Art Deco building, and is in super convenient Zone 1, handy for the cafes and bars of Exmouth Market (short walk away) and three tube stations (Farringdon, Barbican and Angel), but very quiet as it looks out over a one-way street that is almost traffic free. It has leafy views south over Compton Park towards the Barbican. I did a full renovation in 2015 with stylish new kitchen and bathroom, fully interior designed with reclaimed hardwood parquet flooring, and handmade terracotta and Spanish encaustic tiles in the bathroom. The living area is open-plan with comfortable areas for sitting, dining (table for six people) and cooking, with Bertazzoni oven, microwave and hob, integrated dishwasher, and a secret laundry space off the hall with a washer-dryer. It would be ideal for a professional couple, and you can also walk to the City.
