Join us for South London's best COMEDY CHRISTMAS PARTY with a night of laughter from 8 comedians, followed by a late disco with festive surprises. Win a pair of tickets for your best/worst holiday jumper! Tickets can be reserved online for £12 (plus ticket agent fee) until 7pm on the day of the show. Door price tickets are £15. PLEASE NOTE: We are an intimate boutique comedy theatre bar, so TICKET HOLDERS MUST ARRIVE BEFORE 7.45 in order to get your drinks and be seated for the smooth running of the show and everyone's enjoyment. Anyone arriving after 8pm will interrupt the show and may be turned away. SEATING IS FIRST-COME FIRST-SERVED, so early arrival is recommended. PARTIES OF 3 OR MORE are strongly advised to arrive at 7pm so that you may be seated together. Fresh hot popcorn, sweets and snacks are available at the bar. We do not accept cash at the bar or box office, CARD PAYMENTS ONLY. Line-ups are subject to change. We are a woman-owned, gay-friendly, trans-inclusive venue where everyone is welcome. Our comedians are carefully curated to reflect our inclusive principles, and we ask that guests respect the comedians by not interrupting the performances. Hecklers will be removed with no refunds offered. Filming during the show is not permitted. We have installed a state-of-the-art ventilation system which delivers 500 litres of fresh air per second, making us one of the best ventilated small venues in the country. We do ask that if you are feeling unwell or test positive for Covid, please stay at home and we will be happy to reschedule your visit up to 3pm on the day of the show.

We could say more but put simply North Sea Gas are a highly entertaining Scottish folk band who have an ever-growing fan base ranging through all age groups thus giving the Gas shows a wonderful atmosphere and universal appeal. Counter's Creek is an acoustic folk band based in London who make original music inspired by the folk music of the British Isles and beyond. Jigs, reels, grooves from Eastern Europe & West Africa, catchy melodies with closely interwoven harmonies allied to a real sense of swing and dance energy. Whistle player Jonathan Taylor has worked in many different musical genres: best known as a jazz pianist who's played with artists such as Pee Wee Ellis, Fred Wesley, Ruby Turner and various British jazz luminaries, he's also co-founder of Tango Siempre, appeared on Strictly Come Dancing and arranged music for Robert Wyatt. Singer Ben Cox studied Jazz at Guildhall School of Music & Drama, has played at major Jazz festivals with The Ben Cox Band, is currently musical director of four choirs in London and is an accomplished whistle/flute/harmonium player. Fiddler Tom Newell is known for his work with Effra who perform regularly at UK folk festivals as well as The Ceilidh Liberation Front, Alex Mendham & His Orchestra and pop acts including Muse, One Direction and Lana Del Rey. He also plays banjo and mandolin (not to mention charango and mouth harp). Guitarist Moss Freed plays with jazz/folk group Flekd, the Spike Orchestra, has recorded for John Zorn's Tzadik label and has recently completed a PhD at Hull University Four musicians from different backgrounds, united by a love of acoustic folk music, great tunes and earthy dance grooves. The name Counter's Creek refers to one of London's old rivers that used to flow from Kensal Green into the Thames. It has gradually disappeared over the last two centuries, first converted into a canal after which parts of it were filled in. These rivers still exist in some form underneath London's busy streets and like the new weird and wonderful musical projects in the city, bubble up to the surface every now and then...

We will spend the afternoon mastering Vivaldi's joyful and uplifting Gloria, with invaluable input from our Musical Director, Calum Fraser, and our vocal coach for the day, Soprano, Mary Fraser. An informal performance will follow, to which you can invite friends and family for no charge. Tickets are £15, and music will be provided subject to a cash deposit of £5.
