What locals say about City

“Where do I begin. Living in the heart of London where residents care for our neighbours, where its not a problem for people to pick up litter, being kind to one an another. Maybe its shopping locally as its very close to the streets of West End and many shopping areas. Local to some of London's main attractions, where there's a road which could lead you straight to north, east, west or south London in a short matter of time. Just a fantastic atmosphere which is why its very popular to tourist, EC1 happens to be well known for many reasons especially for its good community. That is why I believe my area is a fantastic area where any person could fall in love with.”

About City

The City of London is a small area within Greater London, United Kingdom. It is the historic core of London around which the modern conurbation grew and has held city status since time immemorial. The City's boundaries have remained almost unchanged since the Middle Ages, and it is now only a tiny part of the metropolis of London, though remains a notable part of Central London. It is often referred to as the City (often written on maps as "City") or the Square Mile, as it is just over one square mile (1.12 sq mi/2.90 km2) in area. These terms are also often used as metonyms for the United Kingdom's financial services industry, which has historically been based here.
