Since being selected as a winner at the 2015 Young Classical Artist Trust (YCAT) auditions, Daniel has performed widely in the UK, Europe, USA, South America, Asia and New Zealand and appeared in many prestigious concert halls. He has also participated in numerous international music festivals. An avid chamber musician, Daniel regularly collaborates with violinist Benjamin Baker and the Castalian Quartet, and has performed with cellists Alice Neary and Brian O'Kane, violists Rosalind Ventris and Timothy Ridout, and clarinetists Matt Hunt and Julian Bliss among other renowned UK/international artists. Daniel and Benjamin Baker have released two critically acclaimed duo albums with Delphian, and also participated on the composer Matthew Kaner's debut disc featuring his chamber music at the same label. As a soloist he has also recorded for Decca (Schubert) and Naxos (Bartók). This years cornerHouse panto will beA Midsummer Nights Theme. Yes, our traditional New Year production has finally gone from Bard to verse! With many apologies to William Shakespeare, plus Felix Mendelssohn and a few other creatives whose work is being shamelessly re-imagined, well, plagiarised, the show will recount the tale of mismatched lovers cast adrift in an enchanted forest. There will be fairies, of course, and one unfortunate chap who gets transformed into an ass. But alls well that ends well sorry wrong play and the panto will be staged from January 27th to 31st.

What makes theatre so magic and why is Shakespeare still relevant? When an alarm is deliberately set off during their GCSE drama exam, a group of students find themselves in detention. As they struggle to navigate the seemingly endless tasks theyve been set as punishment, questions are raised. Who set off the alarm and why? Will they ever get out of this detention? Will it cost them their GCSE? And why is Shakespeare still so popular? So begins a meta deconstruction of the play as we move from classroom to theatre, artifice to reality. The performers switch between their characters and their real selves as they interrogate Shakespeare, the canon, the education system, the nature of theatre, and the world itself. They begin to wonder whether the classics really are that classic, or whether we might need to tell a different story altogether.... 'Macbeth Macbeth Macbeth' is being performed as part of our Thursday Young Company, Ages 15-18 Weekly Theatre Academy class as part of National Theatre Connections.
