Sands End lies in the southernmost part of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham in London along the banks of the Thames. Nearby Imperial Wharf is a former brownfield development which is growing to include a mixture of affordable housing, both private and public, shops, a park and a new railway station. Wandsworth Bridge Road, which runs through the centre of Sands End offers some restaurants, some pine shops, St Matthew's Church and Chelsea Harbour.
