Swing Patrol Victoria Park

Swing Patrol Victoria Park

I love the beginner swing dance classes at The Royal Inn on the Park every Tuesday. The classes are fun, the teachers and students are friendly and the dancing is great! A great way to meet new people, get some exercise and, of course, learn to dance.

Victoria Park

Victoria Park

Skateboarding through Victoria Park is a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Possibly heading to Broadway Market after to find coffee and more than likely after a few skateboard tricks, a pharmacy.

Pepitos

Amazing Mexican food!

Hackney Walk

Hackney Walk

The upcoming home for fashion designers. Hackney Walk is a fashion district located within East London. It is a new ultimate luxury shopping experience that consists of many major and luxury designer brands. Hackney Walk is a trendy hub for great urban food, leisure and community activities. It is amazing, as Hackney is such a diverse and energetic area in London!

Bistrotheque

Bistrotheque

This place is great for brunches and lunches. They have a cabaret place downstairs so you really could stay all day if you wanted to!

London Fields Lido

London Fields Lido

Perfect for a fun day out, especially in the summer, this outdoor pool in Hackney's London Fields is one of London's last remaining lidos. It is open all year round and is, of course, heated. Why not grab lunch from either one of their two cafes after an exciting dip?!

Chesham Arms

Chesham Arms

A revival of an old local boozer, residents fought hard to prevent this building being turned into flats and won after it was granted to be an 'asset of community value'!

Victoria Park Market

Victoria Park Market

Open every Sunday, you can enjoy a Sunday walk in the park and have a bite to eat and a pint in the middle of it! Great day out with family or friends on a nice and sunny day.

The Chesham Arms

The Chesham Arms

Enjoy a pint while sitting round the toasty fire - this pub was saved from development by the local community, making it a lovely local place for food and drinks.

Hackney Fresh

Hackney Fresh

High quality fresh and organic products in Hackney. I often pop in to this fruit and veg shop for their fresh produce and a coffee. Very handy!

Pub on the Park

Pub on the Park

On the border of London Fields, its a fantastic pub with a big outdoor area and reasonable drink prices too.

Diddy's

Diddy's

Diddy's, a café by day and bustling bar by night is a cultural hub situated on the corner of Mare Street and beck road. Just a stone throw away from London fields, this bright and light space offers everything from coffee to their signature cocktails at reasonable prices creating an environment where patrons feel valued and where you "can have a night out without feeling like you have spent all your rent money" owned by Diddy herself.

Patty & Bun

Patty & Bun

The best burgers in London under London Fields railway arches!

Café Health

Café Health

A lovely little Caribbean restaurant on Mare Street in East London. They offer the best jerk chicken along with other Caribbean dishes.

Pavilion Café

Pavilion Café

A great place to grab a coffee, freshly prepared snacks or cake, while overlooking one of Victoria Park's lakes.

Why not explore the nearby areas of Hackney, Victoria Park, Bethnal Green, Homerton, Dalston, Clapton, De Beauvoir Town, Bow, Hoxton and Shoreditch

"Renowned pioneer of female independence, Hackney born Dorothy Levitt was the holder of both the world water speed record and the ladies land speed record. Her tip for women drivers travelling alone? Carry a revolver!"

Watch all the big Hollywood blockbusters and arts films at independent Hackney Picturehouse.

Chris Manderson

Bounded by canals and close to the Olympic Park, I often go running round Victoria Park.

The takeover of the Overground at Hackney Central has been fantastic for the local area - there's proposals for Crossrail 2 at this station too!
