The regeneration of East London and the construction of properties ranging in price and finish - from affordable to luxury - is great news for the London property market. Not only is unused industrial land being utilised for the first time since the decline of the docklands in the 1970s, but also these new developments welcome much needed public space and leisure facilities that the East lacks. In Canary Wharf we are thrilled at the prospect of Wardian, a striking two tower design overlooking South Dock that is set to become one of the tallest residential buildings in the UK, incorporating an open-air pool, a sky lounge and landscaped areas at every turn! Another welcome development is that of Maine Tower, which is fantastically situated right amongst London Docklands right by South Quay Station.
Crossrail currently holds the title as the biggest construction project in Europe and it is by far the largest developmental change that East London and in particular, Canary Wharf, has seen in the past few years. Here, the newly built station will be one of the largest - housing not only a train terminal that promises a journey time of only 39 minutes to London Heathrow - but space for shops, restaurants and gardens that will form an exciting leisure destination, Crossrail Place. And with the arrival of this major transport route connecting east and west London, it comes as no surprise that developments like Wood Wharf are now in construction. Set within the Canary Wharf Estate, Wood Wharf is to become a landmark site of a whopping 30 buildings built on the eastern side of Canary Wharf, comprising residential, commercial and green spaces that will form part of the increasing number of residential buildings that are being developed in the area - like the first solely residential tower, Newfoundland.

When I contacted Foxtons I was put in touch with Helen who proved to be just perfect for our requirements. Helen listened and took note of what we were looking for which was important as I was coming from Manchester for a day to view rental properties. She made a shortlist and every one of the properties viewed met our requirements and would have been suitable. Whilst viewing Helen was friendly whilst remaining professional and I had total confidence that everything would be sorted out. Have had experiences in the past where agents have not listened and taken us to viewings just in the hope that we would settle for something. Dealt with a manager at the office who was also very helpful and patient! Would definitely deal with Foxtons again, especially Helen if possible. Hopefully all the staff are as good as my experience has been.

My flatmates and I would like to leave feedback for Helen, a letting negotiator at the Shoreditch Lettings office. Helen impressed us over the phone, in person, and then over email as by far the most competent estate agent we have dealt with to date. She was friendly, professional, and took initiative to make sure she gave us correct information. She has also been incredibly efficient when responding to emails, and we really appreciate the effort she makes to keep us in the loop during proceedings. In short, definitely someone who merits a raise or promotion if she wants one!

I just wanted to let you know that Joanna is doing a fantastic job managing my flat, despite facing a lot of hassle, well beyond new tenants syndrome.
This quite a contrast to my ongoing battle with the previous agent.
What Joanne has done is to have acted as if she was me and I cannot ask for more that that.
On top of the new tenancy teething problems, she has taken ownership of a tricky problem of a water leak in another flat, affecting my flat and the one below. She has spoken to whoever it takes to get it sorted, without setting boundaries about what is and isn't her responsibility, and keeping me updated all the while.
