Living in Fitzrovia

A local information guide to Fitzrovia property, schools and public transport.

  1. Fitzrovia is a neighbourhood in central London, near London's West End lying partly in the London Borough of Camden (in the east) and partly in the City of Westminster (in the west); and situated between Marylebone and Bloomsbury and north of Soho. It is characterised by its mixed-use of residential, retail, business with not one aspect or trade dominating the area. The historically bohemian area was once home to such writers as Virginia Woolf, George Bernard Shaw and Arthur Rimbaud, more lately known as a media and advertising hub. Fitzrovia streets are characterised by a mix of private and social housing, and also a wide variety of other property uses. This mix really defines the area.
