He was resident Dj at the London Hippodrome for over ten years and was one of the original Superclubs Club UK. Jon regularly played at London's Stringfellows spinning at the famous Friday Night Dance Night, Camden Palace & Limelight, Tito's Palace & BCM, Majorca, Music Factory, and even had a lengthy stint at Club Berlin, Perth Western Australia. In the late 80s, Jon co-owned one of the South's most influential record stores. He quickly became one of the busiest DJs of the new genre, dance music which is now internationally known as House. Jon helped launch the careers of DJs like Brandon Block, Dean Thatcher, Rocky & Diesel and many more. He's also worked at Liberty in Manchester, Club Art in Southend and Ealing's renowned Broadway Boulevard where he was resident for several years! As for today, Jon's usual style is Jazz-Funk, Soul, Disco and Jacking House. His mixing skills are faultless, which has seen Jon become widely regarded and known as one of the most accomplished technical DJs in the UK. Coming runner-up in a public poll for Best Soul Club DJ by the Soul Survivors magazine. Jon can still be found playing at events such as Margate Soul Festival, Luxury Soul Weekend in Blackpool, Soul Family Affair Weekend, Salou Soul, BolSoul Croatia, and Lagoona Soul. He has also held residents at Sweet Sensation, Love Injection, and Ruby Soul As a seasoned radio presenter, Jon has gone from original pirate broadcasting in the mid 80's to the BBC, ILR and other networks globally. Jon was also summer resident at the legendary BCM in Majorca and Barcelona's Music Factory. As well as one of the highlights of his career, touring with former World Mixing Champion Chad Jackson in the UK and Australia, as well as being the resident DJ with DMC (Mixing Championships). Among his many DJ exploits, Jon previously worked for, and then later owned the legendary Rayners Lane Record & Disco Centre in Pinner, north London. In 1992 he enjoyed some time in the spotlight as the bassist for UK group Undercover, who had two Top 5 hits in the UK and international success with their cover of Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street. The band went on to release two albums and several subsequent singles before splitting up a few years later. Anyone remember him playing at Regals in Uxbridge Or the Tudors & Bogart's Reunions with none other than the famous fellow radio DJ and living legend that is Greg Edwards. These days, Jon continues to be a top class club DJ playing at the likes of the Luxury Soul Weekender (Blackpool), Soul Family Affair (Norfolk), Summer Soulstice and the long running Ruby Soul with Ash Selector, Ian Dee and of course plays together with CJ Carlos at the Soul Family Spring Boat Parties. Jon's also an accomplished radio presenter previously at Delite Radio and now broadcasts his award winning weekly show on Mi-Soul Radio.

He is currently studying at the Royal College of Music on a full scholarship under the tutelage of Danny Driver as a postgraduate student Amiri is a Grand Prize winner of the Young Classical Artist Trust and Concert Artists Guild International Auditions 2024, and is a regular performer throughout the UK and abroad, having already debuted at the Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields and at the Venice Conservatorio. He has most recently been chosen as a Classic FM Rising Star. Supported by The Countess of Munster.

A choral workshop hosted by Finchley Chamber Choir, led by Lloyd Buck. When Mozart died at the tragically young age of 35 in 1791, he was working on a Requiem Mass, which was left incomplete. The version that so many choral singers have come to know and love was completed by another Austrian composer, Franz Sssmayr. He did so based on "scraps of paper" (now lost) and his own understanding of Mozart's musical signature, but claimed the Sanctus and Benedictus and the Agnus Dei as his own. Several musicologists in the 20th and 21st centuries have taken a critical look at this familiar completion and proposed their own reconstructions. In this open workshop hosted by Finchley Chamber Choir, you'll have the chance to explore the completion by eminent American musicologist Robert D Levin, formerly a professor of music at Harvard, which gives a new perspective on how Mozart may have intended the piece to sound. Choral conductor, pianist and composer Lloyd Buck is a great proponent of Levin's work on the Requiem and he has given several workshops and online presentations on the subject. There will be lots of opportunities to sing as Lloyd presents us with information about the history of the piece and provides fascinating insights into the decisions taken by Levin in completing his reconstruction. The day will finish with a mini performance of the Requiem Mass(from 4.00 pm): feel free to invite family and friends to attend, at no charge. Your ticket includes complementary tea, coffee and biscuits during the breaks; please bring your own lunch (or there are plenty of places you can buy food nearby).
