Printing with Zoe Duncan
In this workshop we will be exploring two closely related forms of intaglio printmaking: drypoint and tetrapak!
This workshop can cater for beginners - right through to those wanting to expand their printmaking, try out new ideas and explore further ways to express themselves through print. You will have at least 2 different designs and prints to take home with you.
We will explore various mark-making techniques, ways to add texture and tone, and even how to shape the printing plates themselves for some very unusual prints. We will start with creating a drypoint plate, carving designs in, and then learning how to ink it up and use a press to give us a stunning print. Then we will move onto using tetrapak to create diverse and richly tonal prints - a fantastic way to use materials we have around us everyday!
