I have lived in this flat for nearly 12 years, both as a tenant and now as an owner. I have seen Shadwell grow as a community and also seen the transport links, facilities and local amenities grow alongside. With Crossrail opening at Whitechapel in 2018, access widens even more, and you can walk there. The CS3 cycle lane on Cable Street is one of the best of the new super highways and notwithstanding all this, you have one of the best independent cinemas, Genesis, just a short walk away, which screens all new releases plus classic films also. This is a great area to live with the Thames, the Tower of London and Canary Wharf within easy reach. If I didn't have to leave, I wouldn't be going.
