This workshop invites participants to reflect on how identity is formed, expressed and transformed, particularly within hybrid or migrant contexts. Through conversation, analysis of artworks, creative making, and storytelling, participants will explore their own cultural narratives. Each participant will produce a visual piece and the option of a recorded story, contributing to a growing archive of Anglo-Polish experiences. In this relaxed session, youll learn about the history behind the craft, the tools and techniques used, and why so much of it is inspired by nature. Then, youll create your own piece to take home. Try your hand at intricate designs inspired by the seasons and Boston Manor House's interiors as you immerse yourself in the world of paper art. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a curious beginner, this event is perfect for anyone with a passion for creativity and an interest in Polish culture. An opportunity to celebrate the life and music of Dick Esmond - drummer, band leader and charter member of Ealing Jazz Festival - who passed away earlier this year. Dick's big band, Sound of Seventeen, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022 at Drayton Court, and this event follows on from the hugely enjoyable memorial here in the summer.
