Every Saturday we’ll be running right through ’till the early hours fuelled by turn up tunes, party hip-hop, R&B classics, dancehall and afrobeats provided by our resident DJs. Entry Policy: Tickets do not guarantee entry. They provide priority access and queue jump, but entry remains subject to venue capacity and conditions. Dress Code: No sportswear, tracksuits, or track shorts. Guests not adhering to the dress code will be refused entry, regardless of ticket purchase. No refunds will be issued. Age Policy: 21+ only. The songs Phil and Sarah sing are mainly traditional, learned from versions by folk legends like Shirley Collins, Bob Copper, Martin Carthy and Peggy Seeger. Their instrumental music (guitar, banjo and ukulele) also feels steeped in tradition. It is minimal, but exudes heart and passion. Please note that you will not be able to eat in the ballroom where the concert is held, although once the doors open and AFTER YOU HAVE HAD YOUR HAND STAMPED, you may reserve a seat in the ballroom (for example by leaving your coat on it) and then eat elsewhere. If you wish to eat, please ensure that you arrive in plenty of time to order and eat your food. Please do not save seats for other people unless they will be arriving before the start of the live music at 8pm. If there is a particular problem please let us know, otherwise we reserve the right to give these seats to people who are already there and who would otherwise have to stand (see below). There is a low step at the entrance to The Ivy House, and after that the venue is all on level ground. There is a disabled toilet in the ballroom where the concert will be held. If you are in a wheelchair, please let us know IN ADVANCE and we can reserve a space for you. THIS EVENT IS PART SEATED, PART STANDING. If you or a member of your party must have a seat due to disability, PLEASE EITHER ARRIVE WHEN THE DOOR OPENS AT 7PM, OR ELSE LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE GIVING THE REASON WHY A SEAT IS NEEDED. Sorry, but we cannot undertake to reserve seats for anybody other than the person with a disability. Please do not bring in seats or stools from other parts of the venue, as these are needed for other customers of the pub. We also need to keep enough space at the back of the room for people who are standing. Please be aware that whilst our events are held in The Ivy House's beautiful Grade 2 listed ballroom, this is a pub, so there may be some background noise from adjoining bars, although we and the pub management have done our best to minimise this. However as this is a listed building there are restrictions on what kinds of soundproofing can be done. We hope you understand. You are welcome to take photos, but please do not do this in a way which will disturb other members of the audience. For example, please do not use flash or hold your phone above your head. Unfortunately anybody who persists in doing this after being asked not to may be asked to leave. Please do not take videos unless this has been cleared in advance by both ourselves and the artist/s concerned. Please do not block the gangways, which we must keep free due to safety legislation.
