This years event proudly features over 15 performances, including talented participants and guest performers from across the globe, with artists traveling from countries such as India, Germany, and Canada. At its core, Sasvatam is dedicated to preserving the purity and essence of classical art forms. The platform seeks to identify and uplift genuine talent across all age groups, empowering artists to flourish and gain recognition worldwide. Sasvatam was founded by Natya Acharya Dr Jeyanthy Yogharajah, alongside co-founder Mrs Bavithra Sivayokam, whose shared vision and dedication continue to shape meaningful cultural experiences. Together, they are committed not only to the growth of the arts but also to creating opportunities for future generations through upcoming events. Join us for a special performance by acclaimed dance artist Mavin Khoo, presented in collaboration with the distinguished musician, O.S. Arun. Widely regarded as one of the foremost exponents of Bharatanatyam, Khoo will weave the classical structure of the traditional margam with personal reflections, offering a meditation on a life devoted to dance.

This bustling Harlem braiding salon is where neighbourhood women come to have their greatest hairstyle dreams come true, all in the hands of a lively group of West African, immigrant braiders. Across one hot summers day, these women experience everything in the pressure cooker of the sweltering shop: from demanding customers to secrets and lies, laughter and betrayal. But each of these women has big dreams as well, dreams which increasingly pit them against the city they call home. Hackney Shed Collective A whodunnit about the felling of the Robin Hood Tree at Sycamore Gap. Set on the day after the felling, the local police are ‘in school’ conducting an investigation. The twelve members of the school’s eco-club are held in a classroom, being taken out and interviewed one by one, until the culprit cracks and confesses. While they wait for their turn, the pupils interrogate each other. Who could have done something so monstrous? What possible motivation could they have had? What impact will it have on their club and their community, now that the tree is gone? And will it be possible for any of them to move on?
