Where do Lewisham locals go?

Brockley Market

Award-winning, bustling market selling seasonal produce and delicious street food.

Archibald's

An independent coffeeshop with a gorgeous sun trap of a garden that serves an amazing full brunch menu.

The Point

One of the most secluded spots with amazing views over London. Not a tourist in sight and the perfect place for a picnic too.

Jam Circus

A quirky pub that serves good food. It's also child friendly during the day.

The Gantry

This delightful restaurant and bar is cosy inside during the winter, yet there's an amazing garden for the summer months.

Buenos Aires Café

The best Argentinian steak restaurant ever, where the walls are covered in iconic photos taken by its owner. Definitely ask for an upstairs table overlooking Blackheath.

Gail's

Fantastic olive bread and a great place to pick up a sneaky afternoon snack!

Zerodegrees

The food and wide range of beers brewed in house make this place so popular! They do scrumptious, fresh stonebaked pizzas and the views of Blackheath are great. A nice place for a drink and food.

Luciano's

Such great service from this independent restaurant. The pizzas and the seafood are highly recommended!

Le Querce

The finest Italian restaurant I have ever been to, with a varied and fresh menu that caters for everyone from meat eaters to vegans and all in between without seeming to try! I book for anniversaries, birthdays, visits from friends - any excuse to attend the best restaurant I know of. It may not look particularly salubrious, but it is child-friendly by day and romantically candle-lit by night. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Royal Observatory Greenwich

The observatory is a great place for all ages to visit. There are usually a number of exhibitions for all ages giving a history of time and space and the architecture is wonderful. During the evening you can see the green laser across the sky that shows the meridian line.

The Greenwich Vintage Market

Some great unusual finds here and it's open every day of the week!

Greenwich Park

Going for a run is never dull with this on your doorstep...

Al Pancino at The Spread Eagle

Amazing food and service. The best Italian food in Greenwich.

Heap's Sausages

Head here for the best breakfast in Greenwich! A great local family-run business...

  1. About Lewisham

Lewisham is a district in south London, located in the London Borough of Lewisham. It is situated 6.2 miles (10.0 km) south-east of Charing Cross. Almost all of the SE13 postcode district, which is associated with Lewisham, is within the London Borough of Lewisham, except for the Coldbath Estate and part of the Orchard Estate along Lewisham Road, which are covered by the London Borough of Greenwich. Lewisham's High Street is particularly long and wide for a London suburb and the area at the north end of the High Street was pedestrianised in 1994. Lewisham is a major local transport hub, lying on the A20 road towards Dover and at the start of A21 to Hastings, with its own large bus station, railway station and the southern terminus of the Docklands Light Railway. London Underground lines run into the north of the borough at New Cross station and New Cross Gate station as part of the East London Line.
