The Tinderbox & Other Tales is a weird and wonderful selection of fairy tales written by Hans Christian Andersen and adapted for the stage by Toby Hulse. This is an exciting debut staging of this adaptation, exclusively for our Lower School cast. A group of cobblers build their very last shoe as the factory is set to shut down due to the development of new machinery. As their final day of work draws to a close, they come together to share stories that have been passed down to them. The cobblers introduce us to a whole host of worlds, characters, and styles of stories. Moral conundrums, magical spells, and anthropomorphised animals take to the stage in this imaginative retelling.Read more

Welcome to Eltham College's annual summer music festival, held in the school grounds on Saturday 27th June 2026. Many will know of this event as ECCO, but this year sees it in its new, larger-than-ever guise! Elthambury involves musical performances over six stages, from Chamber Music to Jazz and Rock to Orchestral. The 'afternoon stages' are all outside, with an ice cream van and wood-fired pizzas on hand! The Marquee Concert features table seating and a number of Eltham's top large-scale instrumental ensembles performing a programme on the theme of 'Around the World in 80 Days'. The full schedule is as follows: 3.00pm: Quad Stage - Chamber Music 4.15pm: Turberville Stage - Musical Theatre 4.15pm: KGH Stage - Philharmonia & Symphonic Wind Band 4.45pm: Westfield Stage - Jazz 5.45pm: Rose Stage - Rock 6.30pm: Marquee opens 7.00pm: Marquee Stage - evening concert All guests are warmly invited to bring picnics, both to the afternoon stages and also to the evening concert. Those attending the Marquee Concert are also heartily encouraged to bring an entry for the 4th Annual Table Decoration Competition...! Tickets: This year, tickets are available in the following categories: Afternoon ticket (all outdoor stages; not the Marquee Concert) Marquee ticket (all outdoor stages plus the Marquee Concert) If you would like to attend everything, you only need to book Marquee Tickets, not both! We do hope that you can join us for this opportunity to celebrate Eltham College's wonderful musical community. Please Note: - marquee tickets refer to specific tables and seats. The table map is an exact replication of the marquee outline; if you would like to sit as a group, you may want to book as a 'block' rather than in one line. - pupils who are performing in the evening concert will have dedicated seating elsewhere in the marquee; if you would like them to sit with you when they are not on stage, please book a ticket for them using the '18 and Under' ticket. - seating at all outdoor stages is unreserved, and very flexible; there will be seats laid out, but picnic blankets are just as welcome!Read more
