Acclaimed Scottish singer-songwriter Adam Beattie ‘Uplifting Reveries’ (Mojo Magazine) will be launching his new album 'Home Fires Burning'; a homespun epic which explores family, legacy and belonging. Adam writes melodies inspired by the traditional fiddle tunes of his childhood, played on finger-picked acoustic guitar. FORM Presents Grumpy \+ Special Guests Grumpy (the collaborative project of Heaven Schmitt) like many great hero tricksters before him, has always been a project of juxtaposition: upbeat radio-ready hits whose buoyant, goofy hooks belie the dark thoughts they describe. Late last year, the Fader praised their “demented, hooky” EP, “Piebald,” whose innovative fuzz-pop confections earned them coverage in NPR and the New York Times. Stereogum heralded them as “wonderfully weird,” and Paste designated them “the best of what’s next.”” Through boisterous collaborations with the likes of Sidney Gish and Claire Rousay, they’ve effortlessly ingratiated themselves with the titans of DIY, and, more recently, Schmitt has become an unlikely favored collaborator of chart-topping country giant Zach Bryan, who named his new record--which prominently features Schmitt’s harmonies--conspicuously, ‘With Heaven On Top.’ Presented by FORM. Immerse yourself in an evening of enchanting live music marking the release of Noum’s first single from her forthcoming album, at Next Door Records Two in Stoke Newington. Accompanied by her amazing band, Ayman Sinada on drums and Mandy Nossen on bass, she will be sharing her oddly refreshing originals - as otherworldly as they are intimately personal - alongside overdriven hypnotic incarnations of traditional ballads and chants from transatlantic, Alpine and Mediterranean folk traditions. The upstairs bar will be graced with live acoustic music from the incredible Tip The Waiter, before and after the show, sharing songs of love and despair from Greek and Turkish mountain villages to shisha smoke-filled harbours.
