Our Cosmic Dust is a heartfelt and imaginative tale that explores how we find guidance in others and solace in the cosmos – all seen through the wide-eyed perspective of a child. Making its English-language debut, this three-time award-winning production blends intricate puppetry, hand-drawn illustrations, and inventive video design to craft a visually stunning and delightfully unexpected theatrical experience. Created by Tokyo writer and director MichinariOzawa and translated by British-Japanese theatre maker Susan Momoko Hingley, Our Cosmic Dust is a touching and uplifting exploration of the human spirit. Following their Transmission residency last summer, this is your chance to experience the premiere of Bending Reality, the latest production from Nua Dance. Our brains don’t just perceive reality — they reconstruct it. But what if what we see isn’t all there is? Blending dance, circus, and parkour, Bending Reality unravels shifting perspectives and hidden layers of perception. A sculptural dress reshapes the space, while Ben Glover’s video design captures the moments between what is seen and imagined. As with previous Nua Dance productions, this show prioritises accessibility for deaf audiences through creative captions, vibrotactile wearable devices, and a sound description.

Starting in Italy, a wave of revolution swept across the continent and, for three days in February, it engulfed Paris. The culturati debated, made speeches and looked on from the salon and first-floor drawing-rooms, while in the street below the barricades were building and blood was being shed. In that same moment, Louise Farrenc celebrated concert pianist, composer, scholar and Professor of Piano at the Paris Conservatoire was quietly conducting her own revolution of gender and class in conventional musical form. How important was the one to the other For 150 years after her death, the world chose to ignore this composer. Only recently has the work received the attention it deserves.
