"Brookwood Cemetry was the final terminal for those travelling on the Necropolis Railway in 1854. With cemetery space at a premium in the centre of London, Richard Bourn struck upon an idea of setting up a rail link to transfer the dead out to Surrey. Even this train service has different classes which not only dictated the level of comfort for the mourners, but also the style in which the deceased travelled!"

Guildford Castle has beautiful landscaped gardens that are lovely in the sunshine.
