Where do SM5 locals go?

The Wrythe Recreation Ground

On this location is a large underground air-raid shelter from the Second World War. The entrance and vents are visible, but it is not possible to enter the bunker. It also backs onto Carshalton Athletic FC football ground.

Carshalton Ponds

A wealth of wildlife, waterfalls and lovely scenery in the heart of Carshalton.

The Hope

CAMRA Greater London Pub of the Year 2012 & 2013, which is run by a collective of locals. There's always a friendly welcome and the homemade, simple food goes down a treat as well!

The Greyhound

A pub and hotel with lots of outside space - fab in the summer!

Morden Hall Park

With the River Wandle flowing through, there are meadows and wetlands with lots of wildlife and a beautiful rose garden. A fantastic place to walk, run or ride through. At the end of summer, a beer festival is also held here.

Deen City Farms

A small, local petting farm with a riding school and free admission.

The William Morris

Sat on the River Wandle, a traditional, warm and welcoming pub. Serves a great Sunday roast. Perfect for a drink on a summer's afternoon.

Nonsuch Park

An excellent place for children and families.

New Wimbledon Theatre

Bringing West End shows to the heart of Wimbledon since Edwardian times, as well as new and experimental productions.

The Pod

The greatest late night hotspot to party your worries away.

A healthy grill at an amazing price - it will leave your taste buds sizzling!
