“Palmers Green is blessed with a number of sizeable and interesting parks, linked to former stately homes, and a growing number of restaurants and cafes. One that has a lot of character is Baskervilles on a tree-lined street overlooking the popular Broomfield Park. The train ststion with trains direct to Moorgate (25 mins) will soon see a cafe reopening, and one hopes the resumption of gallery and musical events”

Following previous years' roaring success, Rah Rah theatre returns to BROOMFIELD PARK with 'Teddy Bear's Picnic' Bring along your favourite bear and join us on a fun, exciting adventure to get to the picnic on time! The show incorporates puppets, well-known songs and dancing together with important educational areas such as numbers, colours and shapes. Please note that we cannot offer returns within three days of the event to allow tome for resale of tickets Any profits go to improving Broomfield Park for our communities. A morning guided walk around Broomfield Park with Adrian Day
Join Adrian Day, who has been a resident of Palmers Green for over 30 years. Learn about the Broomfield Park - once home of the richest man in England, murals by a Flemish Baroque artist, a wartime decontamination shelter, and the house where The Lord Mayor of London hosted the Prince Regent along with royalty from Russia, France, and Prussia. The walk will start and finish at The Palmers Greenery Community Cafe, located by the tennis courts in the middle of the Park. Feel free to grab a drink from the caf beforehand. The walk is roughly 2.5 kilometers long and will take about 90 minutes.Read more
About Southgate
A suburban area in North London, Southgate was named for being the south gate to Enfield Chase, the king's hunting grounds. Southgate is located 8 miles (13 km) north of Charing Cross. The area has good transport links. You'll find an array of shops in the town centre and around the Green south of the centre. Southgate also has a selection of restaurants, cafes, and pubs, a theatre, a leisure centre, sports and recreation facilities, and several parks. There also are several good schools in the area, which is popular with families looking to rent. Southgate's known for its long-standing Greek community.
