The Oval Lounge

Under new management, it is good value for money and we have confidence in taking friends there. They serve excellent light lunches and suppers.

Fentiman Arms

Amazing roast dinners, good red wines and a nice beer garden for when it's warm!

VauxWall Climbing Centre

A little known bouldering centre in the arches. Turn up with your kit for a different kind of work out.

Craft Beer Co.

Over 100 types of beers and an enormous variety of flavours to choose from. The perfect setting for after-work drinks.

Pop Brixton

The new go to place in Brixton. Restaurants, bars and work spaces in converted shipping containers.

The Agile Rabbit

Great pizza, drinks, live music at weekends and friendly service.

Valhalla

The best breakfast I have had in Brixton and an amazing array of coffees and real fruit smoothies.

Federation Coffee

Delicious coffee made using Campbell and Syme beans, food made by Salon Brixton and sweet treats too.

Brixton Village Grill

A cheap and cheerful breakfast in trendy Brixton Village. This restaurant also serves lunch and dinner.

Seven at Brixton

Unique homemade cocktails in the middle of Brixton Market, made using their own secret recipes. A small place, but very nice for a date. They also sell food.

The Prince of Wales

A Brixton institution, this bar has amazing roof terraces and serves food in the day too. You can dance the night away until the early hours when they have DJs playing.

Hot Power Yoga

Hot Power Yoga has 2 sites they practice in, either in Lambeth College or at The Balance Studio on Gauden Road. The teachers are lovely and the times vary from 6:30am to 9pm so very flexible.

Satay Bar

Happy hour cocktails and a range of dishes and cuisines from all over South East Asia.

Tsunami

I was really impressed with this sushi restaurant just off Clapham High Street. They serve very good quality dishes made using fresh ingredients and the atmosphere is perfect for a catch up with friends or a special date night.

Two Brewers

Karaoke, drag acts and cabaret, this bar on Clapham High Street is definitely an exciting night out!

January 2015

Naz

"It's very close and well-connected to central London while it is not overcrowded and chaotic. You can be in Brixton with a short walk and taste different dishes from all around the world or just enjoy strolling around Brixton Village. There are some parks nearby as well, like Kennington or Clapham Common. I love living in Stockwell."
