Surrey Federation of WI's are again supporting the national event which was founded by Angela Rippon. It will be led by a qualified dance instructor and will be a fun hour of various dance and exercise routines. Lets Dance aims to: Raise awareness for the benefits of dance, for mental and physical health Make it easier than ever for people to join in and find a suitable dance activity, whatever their fitness level, age or experience Bring people together across divides to connect through dance Dancing brings a unique combination of benefits to individuals, communities, and society. Joy to the World - Christmas Art Exhibition
The Christmas art exhibition at Guildford Cathedral is a highlight each year, featuring artwork from pupils of all ages, from nursery to sixth form. This year, schools explored the theme ‘Joy to the World’ inspired by Luke 2:10: ‘Don’t be afraid, because I am bringing you some good news. It will be a joy to all the people.’ The exhibition reflects on how Jesus brings joy and hope, even in difficult times. Valentines Concert by Candlelight
Join us for an early evening of romantic music by candlelight, set at tables in the Nave area. The programme will include music by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Gaubert, Schumann and Mozart from the very popular performers Debbie Davis (Flute), Mary Mundy (Cello), David Syrus (Piano) and John Payne (Clarinet). Doors open at 4.30pm with a drink on arrival included in the ticket price. Guests will then be asked to take a seat ready for the performance to begin at 5pm with "Small plates" of Italian antipasti served to the tables (available to purchase in advance) and our licensed bar will serve drinks.Read more
