The Candlelight Club's Winter Ball
Step back in time to the romance of the Jazz Age at London’s award-winning pop-up 1920s speakeasy, with live jazz, cabaret and cocktails in a secret venue filled with candles, where everyone dresses the part.
As the nights draw in and the party season kicks off, we’ll be warming up the dance floor with red-hot ragtime music from the seven-piece Trudgeon’s Trad Jazz Troubadours. Leading the revels will be Host With the Most, Champagne Charlie, with a saucy song and a cabaret swagger, who will introduce joyous burlesque from Miss Betsy Rose. When the band aren’t playing, DJs the Bee's Knees will be spinning vintage vinyl into the night.
In a side room our tarot reader Lucius will be on hand to glimpse into your future, Michelle Krausz will be offering sparkling delights at her pop-up vintage jewellery shop, and a photo pod from AR Photobooths will let you create the ultimate Jazz Age selfie—with a prize for the best photo of the evening.
There will also be a complimentary dance lesson from George and Sarah, this time teaching Balboa, a form of jive.
You can come just for drinks and dancing in our secret ballroom in south London, but you can also reserve a table with Champagne, or book the three-course dinner. There’s even an inclusive-drinks option. Ticket-holders receive an email two days before revealing the secret location (which is close to a tube station). So pull on your flapper dress and get ready to Charleston…
