Preserve a treasured object with 2D paper weaving with us at Boston Manor House! Capture the beauty of a foraged leaf or a personal keepsake by combining it with the joy of weaving, to create your own personal treasured artwork. Design a unique composition by weaving around your memento using natural yarns, stitching into khadi paper. Although Joanne will bring some items along, please feel free to bring your own leaves or keepsakes to use in this workshop. We will provide all other weaving materials. This workshop is for ages 16+ The workshop will be led by Joanne Lamb, a local artist with a long history of working with textiles, specialising in woven work. Joanne is currently exploring her practice off the loom, focusing on an appreciation of the natural world and the handcrafted using basketry, natural dyes, and other hand-skills-based techniques to create one-off pieces that celebrate the gifts of the land, the properties of plants, and the innovation of ancestral craftspeople.

Ideal for families, school-age children, and anyone who loves a great musical adventure, The Wind in the Willows is the perfect way to spend a summer afternoon or evening. A celebration of friendship, freedom, and fun, this is open-air theatre at its most joyful - after all there is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats. + Chairs are provided but we recommend to bring a pillow or blanket to maximise your comfort. + Bringing your own alcohol to the event is prohibited.
