I have found it very convenient with commuting to work. It's about a 15 minute walk to Wood Street Station and from there it's only 19 minutes to Liverpool Street Station. Wood Street also has great coffee shops, bakeries and a library which holds free events for children and adults on certain days. The local community and neighbours on our road are very friendly and we all look out for each other. Last year we held a street party and it was a great way to meet new people from neighbouring roads too. Also being so close to Epping Forest is great for walks and it's so nice to have greenery so nearby.
