The house is situated in a great location with easy access to Blackheath with its huge, green open space and a lovely village with unique shops and independent restaurants a 10-minute bus ride away. The overground railway station offers a regular service to London Charing Cross in 25 minutes or Victoria in 30 minutes. Greenwich Park is also a few minutes away by car and at the end of Marlborough Lane you can get a bus to North Greenwich and access to London via the Jubilee Line Underground. In the other direction is Woolwich, which takes about 15 mins by the 53 or 54 bus, with access to the DLR for central London and City Airport. There are some good schools locally, including Sherington, Charlton Manor and Cherry Orchard primary schools. Cherry Orchard is a 2-minute walk from the house. There is a good selection of shops and restaurants at Blackheath Standard a 15-minute walk away and a local Co-op and other shops in the parade 2 minutes' walk away on Shooters' Hill Road.
